Crafted Emotions in Georgia Craft Shows

Every individual has talent, that’s for sure. Some are quite talented at sports, some are handy in the kitchen. A select few have interests and hobbies that most people haven’t heard of before. These keep us surprisingly unique from one another. It is another one of the qualities that separate us from other species.
Of all these hobbies, however, the art of crafts making is perhaps the most rewarding of them all. This is due to the fact that the hobby produces something physical and enduring. Unlike food that gets consumed, or sports that are only kept in the memory of the fans, the crafts that you make will last long after you are gone.
So, it will be helpful for you if your crafts are imbibed with a bit of your own personality. This should come as second nature to most artists and artisans, but there are some who have a hard time with this. Try as they might, the crafts they make come out lifeless and dull. These individuals are simply trying a bit too hard, I’m sure. Crafted artworks should mirror the soul, and thus, the crafts person should not try to do something she doesn’t really feel like making. Make something you want to do, and don’t jump on the bandwagon and follow a fad or trend you’ve only seen.
Crafting is a richly rewarding hobby. Notice that your emotions at the moment you crafted the items, will also be apparent in the final product. Personally, I prefer to do my crafted works when I’m in a thoughtful mood, as it adds a bit of “depth” to the piece. Often times, a stroke of genius is all it takes for you to turn your project in a 180 degree turn and pursue a new path, one that is probably more profitable for you. Of course, this is for a few minority.
Some people, though, like to make their products when they are at the other ends of the emotional spectrum: agitated or depressed. The final pieces will then take on a gloomy or harsher visage, which is also interesting for some people. Maybe for people with a bit of negativity. But this sort of style fits in with all sorts of decorative niches and such. Usually, this approach appeals well with the eccentric and elites. If you find yourself in a market full of people looking for oddities and such, maybe walking on the border line edge of standards and creativity is not a bad idea.

Each one of us has a talent or two, that’s pretty much a fact. Some individuals have skill with sports, some are quite excellent chefs in the kitchen. And a few have interestingly unique hobbies which most people have never even heard of. These are some qualities that make us different from the other specie on the planet.

Crafting is a hobby; and a satisfying one at that. Your emotions at the time you crafted the object will also be apparent in your piece. I personally prefer to do my crafts while in a contemplative mood, as it adds “depth” to my piece. And contemplating while crafting sometimes can add a special something to your work. Your so-called “soul” or “character” as some people call it.
Likewise, some people like to do their crafts when their moods are at a different end of the spectrum. They wait until they are angry or depressed and then they craft away. Their final pieces take on a “wilder” or “gloomier” feel to it. Which works for some people, as well. This sort of style fits in with all sorts of decorating disciplines. By having a wide variety of media that caters to the different aspects, different personalities and different moods of people, you are opening yourself to a market of a whole new level.
The Artist’s Soul In Georgia Festivals

These keep us surprisingly unique from one another. It is another one of the qualities that separate us from other species.
Of these hobbies, however, the art of making crafts is arguably the most rewarding of the selection. Due to the fact that the creator produces something that is three-dimensional and durable. Quite unlike food that gets eaten up, or sports that are for mostly for spectators, handcrafted items will last long after you are gone.
It will be helpful for you, as an artisan, if your crafts are infused with a hint of your personality. Inject your soul into it, if you will. This is second nature to most artists, but there are some who definitely have a difficult time applying themselves to their works. They may try, but their crafts are dull and bland. They are simply trying a little bit too hard. Crafted works should reflect an artist’s soul, and as such the crafts person should refrain from forcing himself from making something that doesn’t feel right or he doesn’t want to. Make something that you really want to do and don’t go for the next trendy craft that comes along.

On the other hand, some people like to make their piece when they are agitated or depressed. Their crafts then take on a gloomy, or angry visage, which is also interesting in some aspects. I, for one, would think it would attract negative spirits. But this sort of style fits in nicely in some decorative niches. Often, an equal spirit-in-arms would find themselves relating to the piece that they can’t help buying it in the end.

I prefer to do my crafted items at a time when I am in deep thought and in a contemplative state of mind. I find it adds a certain “depth” to my final piece. Something abstract and intangible in nature. People call it “character”, others call it “soul”. But it’s that special something that draws people in.
